[WardFive] Fwd: Join Us for Worship

 Hi All:

If you might be interested in a different kind of worship experience, come to the annual summer Jazz Service at Peoples Congregational U.C.C. (scroll down the page for the address) this Sunday (August 26th) at 10:00 am.  There's no preaching, just some great music by some of D.C.'s finest musicians and vocalists.  I'll be singing a Donnie McClurkin song.  (I hope I'm up to the challenge.)  Wear your Sunday best or come casual. Either way, all are welcome.

Vision Statement

"…so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members of one another." (Romans 12:5 NRSV)

"Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ in the District of Columbia is a progressive Christian Community called by faith, led by hope, and united by love to build strong and committed disciples for Jesus Christ and to be a spiritual presence locally and globally in service to humanity. This vision is lived out through our focus on relationships with the Lord, which produces perspective; scholarship in study of the Scriptures, which produces focus; stewardship awareness in our giving and sharing which produces trust; and fellowship with our sisters and brothers in Christ, which produces unity.";
