Re: [WardFive] Disheartening - to say the least!

Rob, Most elected officials are focused more upon themselves than on the electorate and their constituents. Once elected, the most important issue of the magistrate is to get re elected and to enrich themselves and provide for the future of their families and to do this at every possible opportunity. Now, That is the goal of every person is it not? To keep their job and to enrich and secure their family? ... here is were the weakness and veniality of man (woman) becomes exposed. It is why we cannot depend upon the Government for any sustainable project that will accrue benefit to the people. When Government does good it is more by accident than design. It is not the fault of any one official. It is not the fault of the electorate. It is the fault of the system of government that encourages and rewards such behavior. If we want to know who to blame we need only to look in the mirror! Jerry in Frustration

Rob, I feel your pain! Thomas Paine,(no pun) a founding father was, as were many, including Jefferson, highly skeptical of the power and capriciousness of government.   If we depend upon the (my words) government, we will be dissapointed.  Paine said, that Goverrnment in its best form was an irritation, in its worst an anathema!

Dear Community,

As I go to sleep tonight, the most disheartening thing about all that we as a community have to go through is the deceipt, trickery and cunning approaches to everything that occurs amongst our representatives in the Govt. It is a shame that we have to go through the stress that we do just to protect our kids, teachers, schools, land, etc. because everyone and everything seems to be for sale!!

Just Sad.  Too much like right and respectful to have our Representative and their staff to come clean and just be open about the discussions regarding our communities/city. It is like waking up everyday and experiencing what our neighbors in Bloomingdale did with feces in their basement - that's some real sh**!!!

It is just really SAD!!!
