[WardFive] #DC Statehood and #DC Laws

By now most of you know that DC’s Revised Criminal Code Act of 2022 law was overturned by both chambers of the US Congress.  Though this legal action by Congress is not common, our lack of DC Statehood, gives the US Congress the power to overturn any DC law.  We were counting on President Biden to veto the Republican Resolution banning the implementation of DC’s law.  But the President has signaled that he will not veto the Republican’s Resolution.  You may still have some input in this by sending a letter to President Biden here: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/hands-off-dc-action?link_id=1&can_id=eaeb2e4656dd6c48287407e08af856c3&source=email-join-us-today-to-say-handsoffdc-3&email_referrer=email_1841670&email_subject=send-a-letter-to-say-handsoffdc

This action by the US Congress has gotten a lot of national attention, and we now use this moment to let the rest of Americans living in the other 50 states know how unfair it is that DC tax paying citizens have no voting representation in the US Congress; this is what in American history we remember as TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESENTATION.

For those who continue to fight for equality, specifically for DC Statehood, and to defend our Home Rule charter, we will have plenty of engagement in the coming weeks, including DC Lobby Day in Congress and DC Statehood Day.  I will keep you informed of these events and others in the coming days.  You can also visit https://www.dcvote.org/ or  https://www.dcstatehoodpac.com/ to keep updated.

Republican members of Congress are already introducing Resolutions to target other DC laws, including police reform laws we currently use.

One law that survived Republican objection in Congress is the Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act.  This law will allow DC non-US citizens to vote in local DC elections.  And while the Congressional review period is over for this law, it still faces challenges, including a law suit.  For now, let’s thank the democratic Senate for not bringing to a vote the Republican Resolution objecting this law, and our DC Council for being inclusive and thinking of all non-US citizens that call DC home.

Regardless of where you stand with any of these laws, local laws are decisions left to the locals in all 50 states, and the residents of DC should get the same treatment.  This is why it is so important to grow the #DCStatehood movement and to expanded it beyond DC.

Thank you

** ESPANOL**

Thank you

Are you experiencing property damage in Atlanta, Georgia? Insurance claims can be a complicated and overwhelming process, especially if you are unfamiliar with the process. Fortunately, a licensed public adjuster in Atlanta can help you navigate through the claims process and ensure you receive the compensation you deserve. In this article, we will explore the role of public adjusters and how they can help you with your property damage claim.

You can contact Atlanta Public Adjusters here - https://www.cakeresume.com/atlanta-public-adjusters

Understanding the Role of Public Adjusters

A public adjuster is an insurance claims professional who works on behalf of the policyholder, not the insurance company. They are licensed and trained to assess property damage and negotiate with insurance companies to ensure you receive the right compensation for your claim. Whether it's residential or commercial property damage, a public adjuster can help you navigate the claims process, ensuring you receive the compensation you deserve.

The Benefits of Hiring a Public Adjuster

Hiring a public adjuster in Atlanta comes with numerous benefits. For one, a public adjuster has extensive knowledge of the insurance claims process and can help you navigate through it smoothly. They will also assess the damage to your property and ensure that your claim is accurately valued, so you receive the right compensation you are entitled to.

Moreover, a public adjuster in Atlanta can help you save time and energy. Handling a property damage claim can be time-consuming, and without the right expertise, it can quickly become overwhelming. With a public adjuster on your side, you can focus on other important aspects of your life while they handle your claim for you.

The Process of Working with a Public Adjuster

When you hire a public adjuster in Atlanta, the first step is to assess the damage to your property. The public adjuster will evaluate the damage and provide an accurate estimate of the value of the claim. They will then negotiate with the insurance company on your behalf to ensure that you receive the compensation you deserve.

Throughout the claims process, your public adjuster will keep you informed and updated on the status of your claim. They will handle all communication with the insurance company and ensure that your claim is processed as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Summary

Dealing with property damage can be overwhelming, but you don't have to go through the process alone. A licensed public adjuster in Atlanta can help you navigate the claims process and ensure that you receive the compensation you deserve. By hiring a public adjuster, you can save time and energy, and rest assured that your claim is being handled by a trained professional.

So, if you are experiencing property damage in Atlanta, don't hesitate to call a public adjuster. They can make the claims process smoother and more efficient, ensuring that you receive the right compensation for your claim.
