It has been a long time since I was in school or worked but I took the time tonight to do the research and comparison  on the data available in the telephone book and the proposed draft closing list. Something is wrong in a city that will plan to close 31 % of their schools at the same time it is building apartment buildings like mad anticipating a major growth in a new younger population.

Example:  We have less middle schools then high schools.  Cardozo High School is being renovated but it is on the list to be closed.

Cardozo is my high school.

Someone help me understand what is happening to our city.  We continue to bring people from other places that do not care about DC.  It has proven to be true that they use their position here to help them move on to bigger and better positions after they leave.

We need to use the new grading system to help uncover some of the inefficient staff and department heads.
