Randy and I will probably leave after rush hour on Friday and stay at a motel that night but join you at the campground Saturday night.

Hi, there. This weekend is our third and final Gauley Trip of the season!

Here is who I have, as now, going:

Randy
Eric C
Maegon
Jenny
Lisa
Maria
Shaun
Joe Shipley

Tom, Farve, Andrew O'Neill and Jack Hanson will be leading.

Please email me and let me know whether you will camp just Saturday or both Friday and Saturday nights (or not at all) so I can make a camping reservation for the correct number! We will be camping at Summersville Lake Retreat.

Tom will be leaving his house in Cabin John at 4:30 pm on Friday. If anyone wants to ride in the van with him and the youts who will be joining us,  please let me know.

If you are meeting on Saturday, we will be having breakfast at Mabel's Dinner in Mt. Nebo, WV from 9-10 am. We will leave promptly at 10 am to set shuttle for the Lower Gauley. Map to Mabel's: https://goo.gl/maps/KcsYJL4j2mR2

The whole group will be running the Lower Gauley on Saturday. Please bring the boat you are most comfortable in. Most of you will want a creek boat. IF you have run the Lower before and want a challenge you may bring a smaller boat but that probably means you should bring a creek boat for the Upper on Sunday!

We will eat dinner in a restaurant Saturday night and decide who will be running the Upper Gauley on Sunday. The rest will run the Lower for redemption or for more fun. The plan is for everyone to be done by 2 pm on Sunday, ready for the long drive home.

The weather is actually supposed to be pretty warm but the water is COLD and it may rain on Sunday. Bring your drytop/drysuits and cold-weather camping gear. Don't forget to reply with when/where you are meeting us. Have an awesome weekend.

Thanks!

Ashley McEwan
