New Year New Council Committees

Thanks Stephanie Rones

We all need to prepare for an emergency.

1. Get a fire box and put all important documents in it after you make copies.

2, Put the copies in an offsite location.

3, Download your photos to the cloud

4. Make copies of all keys and store set offsite.

5. Get a car key copy made before you need it

6. Make sure to add your designated person to your bank account as a co-owner, not co-signer

7. Make a will, set up a trust, have a power of attorney and a health care directive

8. Get life insurance, renter's insurance and maybe AFLAC for extra money if you get sick

9. Update your beneficiaries on retirement and life insurance policies

10, Make a list of your assets i.e. bank accounts, stock, real estate etc. Put this in your fire box and also store a copy offsite

11, Make a  list of your passwords. Share this list with someone you trust.

12. Stock up on water.

13. Have an emergency food supply for at least 30 days

14. Have an emergency kit one for the home and one for the car.

15 Have extra meds on hand

16. Update your insurance with a rider for jewelry and art

17. Make a video inventory of your possessions

18 Back up your cell phone

19. Make a list of frequently called phone numbers

20,  Make a copy of your medical file and list your prescriptions
