Forgot to mention...if you want to increase your chances for this lottery, future easter egg lottery or others...I'd STRONGLY advise you to go to recreation.gov NOW and create an account. THEN tomorrow morning be at your computer already signed in at 9:58 to await the opening of the lottery. Then submit your lottery request. Just my two cents!
Once again...even if YOU don't plan to attend, it's good to participate in the lottery and hopefully win some tickets. There is always someone at your job, your church, your school, other family members may like to go...makes a nice thoughtful, gift!
National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony Ticket Lottery
The National (White House) Christmas Tree lighting ceremony is on Friday, Dec 6 at 5 p.m. Free tickets will be distributed through an online lottery which will start at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct 31 and end at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov 4. Go to recreation.gov. There are 3,000 seated tickets and 14,000 standing-room tickets available through the lottery. Winners will be notified by email by Nov 7.
