Please join us tonight for our May monthly from 6:30-8:30p, at the Lamond-Riggs Library (5401 South Dakota Ave. NE). Our mtg tomorrow will highlight the school boundaries/student assignment review which affects DCPS and possibly the charters as well.
Agenda:
1. The current status of the Student Assignment/School Boundary review process being conducted by the Deputy Mayor for Education
- this process is not only dealing with DCPS but also could have implications for the charter schools as well.
2. Taking nominations for our executive board - if you are interested in joining our team for the 2014-16 school years we would love to have you. All offices are open for nomination.
Executive Officer positions include:
President
1st Vice President – Membership and Outreach
2nd Vice President – Policy and Advocacy
3rd Vice President - Community Partnerships
Recording Secretary
Treasurer
Financial Secretary
Public Relations Officer
Parliamentarian
Note: if you cannot make it to this evening's meeting and are interested in being nominated for the slate, please email your name and office of interest and you will be added to the slate. All person's interested in holding an executive office must be dues paying members of the Ward Five Council on Education.
