This week, we found out that Donald Trump, our country's Commander-in-Chief, called American soldiers who died in combat "suckers" and "losers."
 
This isn't the first time our President has disrespected veterans. Just before Senator John McCain died, he questioned McCain's status as a war hero, saying, "I like people who weren't captured." John McCain was a former prisoner of war during the Vietnam War.
 
According to Donald Trump, I'm a loser. As a Navy Veteran, I've lost comrades and I've lost sleep over soldiers who I've seen lose their lives. 
 
I've helped the brave men and women serving this country who have lost limbs, lost their way, and lost their lives. 
 
Over the past six months, we've lost patients and neighbors, friends and family, jobs and savings. I think we've all lost a piece of our souls seeing how Donald Trump has failed to protect the American people during the COVID-19 crisis, and seeing the way that he has disrespected our military.
