SchoolbusPlease join the National Research Council's Committee for the Five-Year Summative Evaluation of the District of Columbia Public Schools for a community meeting on Sunday September 15th, 2013, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This meeting is part of the committee's efforts to prepare a consensus evaluation report that describes changes in the public schools during the period from 2009 to 2013, for the District of Columbia City Council.; 

At this meeting we will hear a range of views on:

·         Charter schools -their governance under PERAA and their relationship to neighborhood schools;

·         Academic leadership and the role of principals under PERAA;

·         Distribution of academic and other resources under PERAA 

The meeting will be held at the National Academies' Keck Center, 500 5th St., NW.; If you would like to attend, please RSVP to Kelly Arrington at karrington@nas.edu.
