Greetings, Community Members, Leaders, Organizations, and sponsors.
On Monday, January 20, 2014 UPO will partner with American University and other organizations all over the world in hosting a MLK Day of Service Event. This event will take place at the UPO Petey Greene Community Service Center (10AM-3PM). As the new year marks 50 years of our fight in the War on Poverty, and the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Movement we challenge ourselves to reach greater heights to serve, and change the lives of those in need.
Even in our worse days, we count our blessings, and realize how fortunate we are, lets share those blessings and fortunes with others. We will be collecting lightly used coats and clothes to distribute to those in need during this day of service event.
Please deliver items to the PG Community Service Center 2907 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE, Washington DC 20032 by Thursday, January 16, 2014.
