[WardFive] Please FORWARD This Email: Last Chance to get 2016 Health Insurance

The deadline to get health insurance enrollment for 2016 is just 3 days away  -- Sunday, January 31, 2016.  We need your help with informing DC residents about this important date.  They also need to know that if residents do not have health insurance in  2016, they may be fined by the IRS when they file their 2016 taxes (SEE BELOW for $ amounts for 2016 - much higher penalties this year!!!).

We need your help with the following:

·         FORWARD this to your neighbors, constituents and/or your community network.

·         E-Blast the information

·         Use your social media platforms to post information – See the attached social media messaging sheet

Additionally, DC Health Link will be out in the community this weekend to inform and enroll residents.  The 24 Hr. plus  Enrollment Marathon will be held at various locations throughout the city beginning Saturday morning January 30 through Sunday afternoon, January 31. Staff will be at Carlos Rosario PCS, Ben's Chili Bowl, Mary's Center, La Clincia Del Pueblo, Whitman Walker Health (14th Street), MLK, Jr. Library, The Diner, Dunkin Donut on U Street and at more than 20 places of worship on Sunday.  Also, team members and local leaders will be canvassing door-to-door.

Should you need additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me at kishan.putta@dc.gov or call 202.320.0058 or our Director of Communications, External Affairs and Stakeholder Engagement, Linda Wharton Boyd at (202) 351.9777.

Thanks so very much for your support!
