[WardFive] Chuck Brown Day, Trump protest 8/28, Newsletter, other

I hope everyone is doing well.  Here are a few items to help you enjoy the end of summer.  Start this weekend with the DC Statehood event in Ward 8, continue with the Chuck Brown Day festival, and end the month of August with a peaceful demonstration against hate, as we commemorate another year of the March on Washington by standing together against hate:   On August 28th, join us at protest against Trump (we will also hold another protest on Trump Hotel opening day scheduled for September 12th).

Please also visit http://dcireporter.com/dominican-day-parade-2016/ to watch a short video and some photos of this weekend’s Dominican Day Parade n New York City where DC Statehood was present, and embraced by New York City Mayor Di Blasio, and many other supporters.
