[WardFive] RIP - Ed Potillo

To the Family and Friends of Ed Potillo

On behalf of the DC Federation of Democratic Women, I would like to express our great sense of loss with the passing of Ed Potillo.  Many of us were in shock when we learned of Ed's untimely death.  Those of us who worked with him when he was the Vice Chairman of the DC Democratic State Committee, knew him to be brilliant and strategic, but with a caring and very collegiate style.  Several years ago, we worked with Ed and the members of Ward 7 Democrats with their election of officers and that's how we really got to know him.  We can say unequivocally that Ed was truly a "gentle giant."  We will miss his beautiful smile, his keen sense of humor and his clear-headed leadership.  Our prayers are with Ed's family and friends and we stand willing to assist in any way we can.

Hazel Thomas, President
DC Federation of Democratic Women
