Free IT Training and Certification


The Certification School of Washington is looking for individuals eager to become technologists and IT consultants. Our free training program will prepare you for a new career as a helpdesk specialist or in a career in cybersecurity.

To Participate:
- Must attend the orientation;
- Must be between the ages of 18-24;
- Must have a D.C. identification card or driver's license;
- Must have two (2) reliable contact numbers;
- Must take the CASAS exam (231 + for Math and 241+ for Reading)
- Must have High School Diploma/Transcript or GED
- Completion of a resume summary form is required

Are you interested in the Automotive Technology Field? Sign up for our July 1st class today.

In order to participate in the DC Career connections course, students must be:
  • Between ages 20-24 at time of enrollment
  • Not currently Working
  • Not Enrolled in School
  • Have a HS Diploma or GED
  • Have a valid driving license and satisfactory driving record or the ability to get one by completion of the program

Register for our upcoming Summer Hospitality Training and Internship Program!

Are you interested in a career in Hospitality. Our program includes a paid, 7 week hospitality course and a 7-12 week paid internship at one of the District's various hotels or entertainment venues. Our next class will launch on June 24th. You can register on Friday, June 21st at 10:30 AM at the DC Department of Employment Services (4058 Minnesota Ave NE) at the American Jobs Center.

Please inform the receptionist that you are there to enroll in the Hospitality program at the American Jobs Center and bring a copy of this email with you.

*Very Important* Required Documents to register:
Please bring the following documents with you on Friday to complete registration:
  1. Social Security (proof that you can work in the US)
  2. Birth Certificate (proof of citizenship)
  3. ID (proof of residence)
  4. Proof of Graduation
  5. Proof of Income (Food Stamp Verification) (If you are unable to get this document, please let us know and we can assist)
