Hey guys!As we are coming together with the volunteers for the Falls Race it turns out that we need someone at the Finish line to hold a walkie talkie and communicate with the overlook. This person must be comfortable paddling out to the Flake. You will need to be at GF, MD at 9 am on Saturday with your paddling gear. To LAKS Upper Yough and Cheat Trainers:
As most of you know, the Great Falls Race is Saturday at 11am and is being put on by LAKS and Active Nature (with help from PWRC). For this endeavor, we will need a lot of volunteers. As of right now, one of the areas that we need assistance with is for experienced/knowledgeable paddlers to be at the Virginia and Maryland Overlooks to provide commentary and knowledgeable information to the spectators. This includes just about everyone that I know on this list. This will be both (1) to provide running information of the race (you'll be provided with a start list) and (2) to let people know that this is a safe and well-organized sport/event. If you'd would be willing to fill this capacity, please let me know!
