Thanks to all for your input regarding the Cheat Training lottery system. There is a good number of you who are unable to register online at the apportioned time and those people seem in favor of the lottery. There are some who really don't like it. Please remember, we were able to get everyone from the waitlist into Cheat Training last year and I will do all that I can to make that happen again this year. We don't want to leave anyone out. We do want to have a fair system that avoids a 20 minute "crunch" in which everyone has to register at once. As you know, we have changed our registration system this past year to require people to pay up-front. Frankly, I am not sure that it can handle 60+ people putting their credit card info in at once ....
Please do give this a try this year. You guys are our core of supporters and friends and we will attempt to get everyone interested into a program that works. If you hate it we can go back to the old way next year :)
Here is the Cheat Training Registration form. You can fill it out now, send it in, and not worry on Jan 2. There is a way to select first, second and third choice for each of the programs and whether you want to be put on the waitlist.
Couple of notes: Cheat Elite is for those who are interested in racing and doing 2 runs on the Cheat each time. You should be familiar with the Cheat River and be able to attain wet bottom reasonably often.
Cheat Youth is a higher price point because it includes boat and transportation.
Cheat Lite runs a different river every Sunday in April.
