This is the last week of us only being on the Potomac River! Starting Next Saturday April 8th we will be making the migration out to the Cheat River.
But thats next week and this is this week. This week we will be attaining today as high as we can get. It is a perfect level for Rocky Island, so you want to make sure that you are arriving early enough to get up there. We will be doing some chutes circuits before heading up the gorge. Wet bottom is not going to be easy, but worth a try. If you don't get it after a few attempts you may carry up and around so that you may experience Rocky wave.
This Saturday, we will be having our own little race from Great falls, Md to Sycamore island! We will be doing a staggered start with the GNARwals heading out first, followed by sharks, and dolphins. This is so that you can practice over taking while racing.
Times do not change for this Saturday so plan to be at Sycamore Island parking lot at 9. We will be planning a Pot Luck picnic after the race. I will bring hamburgers and veggie burgers, but if other people could bring other items that would be great!
