FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Tuesday, March 28, 2017   Media Contacts Terry Owens  — (202) 763-8635, terry.owens@dc.gov Michelle Phipps-Evans — (202) 497-0124, michelle.phipps-evans@dc.gov Emergency Signal Shut Down at New York and Bladensburg Road, March 29 (Washington, DC) – The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily shut down traffic signals at the New York Avenue and Bladensburg Road intersection Wednesday, March 29, from 10 am to 1 pm, for emergency repairs.    The repair work is necessary to replace a critical internal component in the traffic signal's cabinet.     DDOT will dispatch traffic control officers to the location during the repair operation.   Drivers are asked to seek alternative routes.
