You’re invited to join Councilmember McDuffie and Ward 5 neighbors to march in the 2017 D.C. Emancipation Day Parade this Saturday, April 8.
Emancipation Day commemorates the day when President Abraham Lincoln signed the Compensated Emancipation Act. Come walk with Councilmember McDuffie and your Ward 5 neighbors as we celebrate this historic day.

Parade down Pennsylvania Ave from 1:00—3:00 PM
Following the parade there will be a concert at Freedom Plaza and fireworks at 9:00 PM
