Re: cheat_training_group Saturday Workout

Tom and the Upper Yough group,

I'm in Uniontown, Pa, at the "Team River Runner, Adaptive Paddling Conference", it's been raining here really hard with flash floods and quite a few road closings, since 4 pm, yesterday, Friday afternoon.

There was Tornado Watch at Albright, the Cheat River, put in. People were saying the UY level was going to be up, without the dam releases. It might get quite high, you'll see

Wishing you safe driving and fun paddling, this weekend.

Cheers,

Jonathan

Dear UY Trainers,

Getting ready for the Upper Yough.

You all have been working hard on your paddling skills, and there is only a little polishing of some of your rolling needed.  You should be confident that if you flip you can get that roll to work.

So, one of the best places to practice with big water is below the falls at Fisherman's eddy own the VA side, like last week.  Let's meet there again this Saturday in the parking lot at 8:30 AM (I won't be late again, I promise). There is plenty of powerful current and deep water for us to face.  If your roll feels a little dubious this will be your opportunity to put it on the decisively positive side.

Happy Paddling day tomorrow!!
