Rhys,

We haven't met, and I'm in New Mexico now, but I did a solo paddle from Harpers Ferry to Great Falls, spending two nights on islands along the way.  Definitely do-able.  It was in September (river was low) so there was a lot of paddling involved without the help of much current.  But a great adventure, nonetheless!

Subject: cheat_training_group Anyone want to paddle from WV to DC on Potomac?

Hey all,

I'm thinking about paddling from Shepherdstown, WV into DC -- walking around Great Falls (and dams of course). It's about 70 miles, so I would camp along the way. I know it is mostly flat but the journey appeals to me.

Has anyone else tried something like this on the Potomac? Thanks for your tips!
