[WardFive] Emergency Appeal Message From Howard University

Message From Howard University:

https://alum.howard.edu/emergencyfund

The COVID-19 crisis has impacted us all ... but has hit our students especially hard. Howard University is seeking urgent support for the HUAA Emergency Scholarship Fund to give immediate, need-based scholarships to prospective May graduates.

Will you help?

DONATE TO HELP STUDENTS NOW

We’re hearing from many students — and many of their parents — who have lost jobs or are facing other hardships.

The University has already taken many steps to help students. We’re refunding portions of students’ room and board, waiving seniors’ graduation fees, and returning the fees for student activities, parking, and labs. But much more is needed. We’re grateful for the recent federal stimulus bill that has covered some of these urgent expenses. However, our students’ needs are far greater than this one-time grant.

You can help! The HUAA Emergency Scholarship Fund will support prospective May graduates, in all 13 of our schools and colleges, to continue working towards their diplomas as planned. EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE WILL BE USED FOR STUDENT SCHOLARSHIPS.

DONATE NOW

I know these are uncertain times for all of us and the path ahead is filled with many difficult decisions.  There is one simple thing YOU can do right now that will make a big difference — help our students make it to the finish line this May. We are Bison strong!

Donate to student scholarships NOW.

Thank you,

David P. Bennett, Vice President
