[WardFive] Thank You Mayor Bowser

Good Evening Everyone,

Hope all is well with everyone. I just wanted to share that I think that the Mayor is doing a great job in managing this Crisis... Mandatory Masks needed to enter the grocery stores was a great decision!!

I was amazed at the amount of people who were in the grocery store who weren't wearing a mask and even had a few people who knew me ask me if I was sick because I was wearing a mask and gloves. I was too amazed to even tell them how stupid I thought their comment was...I think that I have finally learned some of not saying what comes to my mind! Decisive Decision on mandatory masking the nose and mouth!

Also, as much as I and my daughter are involved in Golf, I believe that taking the golf courses off of the allowable activity list was a great decision. The reality is that people there weren't really socially distancing and it keeps folks from unnecessary travel with either air-condition on or their windows open! If they would adhere to simple things..maybe, but I doubt that they would.

And I totally agree with the way that our Mayor and her team are thinking.. I think that the reality is that the longer we are "secluded" the better...less chance of a relapse! From seeing and reading the news on everything, no way possible that this gets under control in under 2 months! If we follow our "Expert on Everything" in the White House on re-opening prior to that, we are going to be get caught in a second wave! People like him don't value lives of "average" people, as we are considered collateral damage ... like all the unnecessary wars ... their kids are not in the line of fire .. in this case, most of the people in cities are not Trump Supporters... so what does he care!

Great Job Mayor Bowser ... Keep up the great job and keep setting the tone of managing the spread of this virus and limiting the loss of valuable lives! Show Washington what Leadership in Washington DC during a crisis like this is all about!
