I am so distraught over this race day shuttle situation that I plan on swimming today in protest.  Do you suggest the back stroke or freestyle?

Don't get all worked up about this. There are plenty of solutions to the problem that are already being discussed. The last thing we all need is an extra 200 emails this week complaining about it. If you have a question or concern about it, or would like to volunteer to help solve the transportation issues there are the race directors emails in the letter or you can reach out to the LAKS office directly. 

It will be no more crazy than the rave we paddled into last spring.
