The 2014-15 school year has started off on a very positive note and we are happy to be back! We hope that you will consider joining us, the Ward Five Council on Education, on this Tuesday, September 16th for our September monthly meeting from 6:30-8:30pm, at the Lamond-Riggs Library (5401 South Dakota Ave. NE).

This month will be the first of a yearlong series focused on introducing our Ward 5 school leaders (both DCPS and charter) to our community. This month we will be joined by the principal of Browne Education Campus, Principal Andre Samuels. We are still awaiting the confirmation of our charter school leader.
- The impact of the recent student assignment and school boundaries revision process and recommendations on Ward 5
(Guest to include: Representatives from the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Education, 21st Century Schools, and Advisory Committee members)
