[WardFive] YACCOP: 2014-2015 Youth Collaborative

 Dear Friends:

The 2014-2015 school year has begun and so too will the monthly volunteer Youth/Young Adult Collaborative Outreach Program (YACCOP).

YACCOP is a volunteer youth advocacy partnership which includes Guildfield Baptist Church, youth and adult volunteers, current and former 5B ANC commissioners, Luke C. Moore SHS.  Along with our partners, Kaizen Life Skills, DC Teen Summit and D.C. Unique M.O.V.E., YACCOP strives to provide volunteer mentoring, tutoring, personal enrichment, job readiness and overall life skill assistance to youth and young adults.  YACCOP also affords high school students the opportunity to earn graduation-required community service credits.

YACCOP is excited about this school year and we would love for all to join us.  We have a great time listening to, engaging and helping our youth and young adults.  You may even be on television since, at the close of the 2014 school year, YACCOP was recorded for DC TV's show, DC Teen Summit.  We also have pictures – enjoy the attached pictorial!

The first YACCOP session will be held on Saturday, October 11 from 10AM-2PM at the Guildfield Missionary Baptist Church, 1023 Otis Street, NE – Basement/Sutton Hall).  A 2-sided flyer is attached with all the 2014-2015 school year session dates.

YACCOP looks forward to seeing you on Saturday, October 11.

Thank you for your volunteer participation to our community's youth and young adults.  Youth are our future and your contribution to their enrichment is greatly appreciated.
