Hello Ward 5!
Please mark your calendars on this Saturday, December 13th at 11am for the ribbon cutting ceremony for the brand new Brookland Middle School (which is located on Michigan Ave NE and 12th St. NE - right in front of Turkey Thicket Recreation Center). This celebration is in honor of the completion of the new school building and all of the hard work that the community has put into making this all a reality! The ribbon cutting ceremony will be followed up with tours of the new building starting around noon - the last tour starting around 12:30pm.
We hope to see you on Saturday!

The Ward Five Council on Education is a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to improving the quality of education in Ward 5. The Council provides a forum for community stakeholders to share and resolve issues surrounding Ward 5 schools and works closely with the District of Columbia's education community to ensure that the quality of public schools – both traditional and charter – is exactly what Ward 5 students, parents, and the community at large deserve.
