[WardFive] REMINDER: Sat's Youth Collaborative (YACCOP) and DCTV Program

Dear Friends and Community

The next Youth/Young Adult Collaborative Community Outreach Program (YACCOP) will be held this Saturday, December 13th from 10am-2pm.  The location is the Sutton Fellowship Hall/ (basement entrance) of the Guildfield Baptist Church (1023 Otis Street, NE).  Lunch will be served.

Our Kaizen Life Skills collaborative partner (Greg Smith) has set Saturday's agenda as "Vision/Goal Setting" with a guest speaker from Dynamic Young Business Owners.

Kaizen will also provide 10 community service hours for each participant and Greg Smith will register youth to participate in their "HIRE Me Program."  This program affords youth to have the opportunity to have a Summer Job in the Federal Government or select private industry positions.

We hope you will join us for this Saturday's exciting session and, as always, BRING YOUTH!

DCTV PROGRAMMING!  Currently airing on DCTV's Teen Youth Summit program is the exciting cable television interview with YACCOP.

From December 8 through January 3,  "Giving Back 2 The Community" will air Comcast 95, RCN10 and Verizon 10 & 11.
Viewers will hear and see the commitment of our youth, our volunteers and our entire collaborative.  YACCOP collaborative interviewees include Pastor Elijah Sutton/Guildfield Baptist Church, Sheila Henderson (Luke C. Moore SHS), Commissioner Ursula Higgins (5B02), Greg Smith (Kaizen Life Skills) and Former Commissioner Carolyn C. Steptoe,

Our youth and young adult interviewees are really really terrific - shout out to all!!!
