[WardFive] Tomorrow: My School DC Unwrapped/Matter of Right PreK3-4 Pilot

Are you a parent trying to navigate DC's common school lottery? Have you heard about My School DC but you aren't really sure where or how to get started? Did you participate in the My School DC lottery last year but still have questions that need answers?

Did you know that in the 2015-16 school year DCPS is implementing a matter of right PreK 3 and 4 pilot for families that live within the boundaries for Burroughs and Brookland @ Bunker Hill Education Campuses?

If the questions above sound familiar, interesting, or apply to you and your family, please join us, the Ward Five Council on Education, tomorrow night (on Tuesday, December 16th) for our December meeting which will focus on helping you navigate and better understand the DC common school lottery - My School DC - AND discuss the PreK 3 and 4 matter of right pilot programs at Burroughs and Brookland @ Bunker Hill ECs. A representative from DCPS will join us to discuss the PreK pilot program. In addition to DCPS, a representative from My School DC will join us to discuss not only how the lottery works but also give some tips on how to approach using the system and ways to navigate the application process. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to ask the question you've been waiting to ask!

We hope to see you tomorrow evening!
