Dear Ward 5 Community,
Councilmember McDuffie will be hosting a Public Safety Summit on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the New Samaritan Baptist Church, Lower Auditorium, 1100 Florida Avenue, N.E., from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The Church has two parking areas and there is street parking on Florida Avenue starting at 6:30pm.
The first portion of the agenda will afford you the opportunity to dialogue with and get your questions answered by a group of invited panelists, including the Deputy Mayor for Public Safety, MPD, the Attorney General, US Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, Office of Unified Communications/HSEMA, CSOSA, the Fire Department and the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council . We have also invited the PSA officers representing all the areas of Ward 5.
The second half of the agenda will afford attendees to hear from Patrol Service Area (PSA) officers from the Fourth and the Fifth District on issues pertinent to their neighborhoods.
As Ward 5 Councilmember, I am asking for your participation and for you to invite your neighbors to come out for this most important summit.
