Subject: [WARD5] Ivy City Residents on Crummell School Vision - audio

Yesterday on Taking Action, a radio program produced by Empower DC which airs on WPFW Radio, residents from the Ivy City community shared their vision for the future of the historic Alexander Crummell School .  The school is the subject of a meeting being held by the Deputy Mayor for Planning & Economic Development this evening, 6:30 PM at Bethesda Baptist Church , 1808  Capitol Ave NE.

Third generation resident Andria Swanson , Belinda Taylor and 1941 graduate from the school Remetter Freeman shared their vision and views, along with commentary about the history of the Ivy City community and hopes for what the city will do to rectify years of neglect.

If you missed the program, you can hear it at the link below.
