Please see the attached notice regarding a special open house with the Engineering Academy at Paul Laurence Dunbar Senior High School on August 19th. The purpose of this event is to introduce young people to the prospect of getting the education that will prepare them for careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. As an individual who started out his career in engineering, I can attest to the fact that a STEM education provides a strong foundation for whatever course of life our young people eventually choose to follow. Please encourage families with pre-high school (including elementary and middle school) or beginning high school children to attend this free event.
