5DCDC SPECIAL MEETING REMINDER
Greetings all,
As a follow-up to the 5DCAC Special Meeting Announcement, 5DCAC Chair Frances Penn indicates MPD Chief Cathy Lanier requested this opportunity to talk with District residents served by 5D regarding the spike in crime. Chief Lanier will talk about the anti-crime initiatives announced by Mayor Muriel Bowser and being implement. The Chief, Commander William Fitzgerald and 5DCAC Chair Penn want to respond to citizens’ concerns and to promote/discuss ideas how the community can assist MPD and other District agencies to address this current issue. Additionally, our Ward 5 Councilman Kenyan McDuffie, in his capacity as Chair of the Committee on the Judiciary, Council of the District of Columbia, has scheduled a Public Roundtable for September 16, 2015, 5:00pm at the Wilson Building.
