Do you want to grow your own food but kill every plant you touch? Learn the basics of gardening in an interactive workshop with a few drinks and friends!
For this meetup, we'll be learning all about tomatoes, which is way more fun over a couple of bloody marys! Each ticket comes with two drinks, a plant to take home and a gardening lesson.
We will harvest fresh tomatoes from our rooftop plants, and learn how to make bloody marys like a pro!

What is Drinks and Dirt?
Gardening, eating local, and being a more conscientious eater are all gaining popularity. But there aren't many opportunities for people to learn how to grow their own food in a fun, informal setting. We wanted to create a space where you can make some new friends while learning a new skill that can last a lifetime. Also, it seemed like it would be more fun with some booze!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes, 21 and up! Please remember to bring your ID, no exceptions.
I seriously have a black thumb, is this event the right place for me?
Yes! No previous gardening experience is necessary to start growing your own food. We're here to make classes fun and accessible for anyone.
Do I have to bring any tools with me?
Just a positive attitude! We'll provide everything you need for the workshop and bring the fun back home.
What is H St. Farms/ Where is it?
H St. Farms is Cultivate the City's newest urban farm project and we are transforming the rooftop of W.S. Jenks and Son at 910 Bladensburg Rd. NE into a vertical farm, urban farm supply center and a kick-ass event space, with the help of several other urban agriculture organizations based right here in DC!
