[WardFive] Holiday Tree Collection

Holiday Tree Collection

Crews will be in your area today to collect all holiday trees reported through 311. Crews will collect holiday trees from the front and rear of resident’s homes.

Please be reminded that DPW does not collect holiday trees from commercial residences which are dwellings with four or more units.  Trees are ready for collection when ornaments, tinsel and other decorations have been removed.  Keep in mind that holiday trees brought to Fort Totten Transfer Station are composted.

Do continue to encourage residents to call the 311 Citywide Messaging Center to report the location of holiday trees.  For continuous updates and information about DPW’s services and programs, visit us: dpw.dc.gov; DPW Twitter: @DCDPW; DPW Facebook: DPW on Facebook; DPW Instagram:  @DCDPW.

Thank you for working with us throughout the season.  Please contact DPW with any questions or needed clarification.

Regards,

Kevin
