Re: cheat_training_group Cheat Trip #2

Fantastic day yesterday! I'm sure everyone appreciated the extra flow and the weather was gorgeous. I wanted to let everyone know that I will be selling my Greenboat in case anyone is interested. It is in good shape and most of its river days have been attaining the Shenandoah and Potomac. It is blue and white. I am asking $550. Let me know if you are interested.

Thanks, Ashley. We'll miss you (you's?). Fellow Cheaters, I will be driving from Maryland tomorrow instead of Pennsylvania would be most grateful to travel with some kind driver from the Gaithersburg Park and Ride (as my car is not takeout-friendly). I can contribute cold, hard cash, preferred beer, and hopefully, some reasonable conversation (or peace and quiet, if you prefer). Please let me know if you have an extra space in your car (and your heart).

Thanks!

Cory

Subject: cheat_training_group Cheat Trip #2

Hey friends, Cheat and Elite,

Just a quick reminder about the details for tomorrow. Cheat Elite should meet the shuttle van at the takeout at 10:30. If you are not ready, please drive directly to the put in. Steve-O says he is not going to wait for you this week!

Cheat Regular should meet at 7 am at the Gaithersburg Park and Ride, drop boats and passengers off at the Albright put in, and be down to the take out at 11 am.

The water is still low, 1.5 ft but it is raining up there today so hopefully we can get a little more. Please bring lunch to eat at the put in, long boat and drysuit.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their long boat. This week, if you bring a creeker, you will need to go with the Koalas. We are going to work on remembering the 5 sections of the Cheat and racing some of the easier sections. You should study tonight to know the lines on and how to identify Big Nasty, Log Jam, Fist, Teardrop- go left along shore! always chose as left as possible!, High Falls, Coliseum, and Pete Morgan. We will put the rest together in the weeks to come.

Ashley Nee and I will not be there but you will get the incredible Pablo instead. 2 Ashleys = 1 Pablo.

Have a great trip-- tuck and ROLL!  Ashley McEwan
