RE: cheat_training_group Week 7: Trip

Folks,

If we do end up going to the Cheat, does anyone have room for another passenger and boat from Gaithersburg?

Thanks,

Cory

Hey Guys,

We are paying close attention to the gauges but it looks like we will not have an answer about whether we can run the Cheat until after the rain tonight. We will not run it if the Cheat Bridge reads above 5 ft.

Right now the Cheat is at 2.8 https://waterdata.usgs.gov/usa/nwis/uv?03070260

They are calling for almost an inch of rain in Albright, ending at 9 pm.

According to the Parsons prediction, it will be 3.5 by 6 pm on Saturday

but that could be bumped up by all the creeks coming in downstream. All this is to say, we won't know what the level is until late tonight. If we do not go to the Cheat, the Cheat Regular group will go to Kitzmiller, as super fun, bigger water run.  https://www.americanwhitewater.org/content/River/detail/id/2429/

Please check this email tomorrow morning! Cheat Elite will receive a separate one from Steve-O with your plan. Please stand by :) My number is 240.507.4141 if anyone needs to call tomorrow.

Thanks! Ashley
