cheat_training_group Cheat Training

Dear Cheaters, one and all,

  We've had a cold start for Cheat workouts so far.   But still a majority of participants have been showing up and have gotten a good workout.  Tomorrow, Saturday, should be better with temps in the 60ies

  This early part of Cheat Training is quite a bit more important than than some realize.  This is your time to get in physical shape, both in endurance and in sprints.  It is essential that you make all of the workouts so that you will be physically ready for paddling the Cheat next month.  

  With attainments, you develop strength and precise boat control. On the river you often have to accelerate to maneuver around rocks, or find a narrow line down a rapid.

  The downriver develops endurance and your ability to keep going down a long stretch of river without flagging behind.  Try to complete the entire workout without slacking off.

  This is a beautiful time of the year to be on the water, seeing Spring materialize in front of your very eyes!
