cheat_training_group Re: Open Practice

Hi all,

I am going to cancel the Open Practice session for this evening based on forecast radar and feedback from those signed up.  You guys can still meet up and paddle but Dave and the LAKS trailer will not be there. There is space in the Chutes Workout on Thursday night 6-8.

Hope you all are having a great week!

Hey LAKS hardcore,

It is a pretty soggy day outside.  The radar is showing possible thunderstorms moving in this afternoon and evening.  I am going to watch it until 1 pm and then make the call about whether to hold Open Practice.  What do you guys think? Just want to give you an early heads up so you will check your email before heading out.

I also want to mention two of our Mexico trips that are designed for paddlers in their first or second year of kayaking.  The waterfalls trip, Nov 27 -Dec 4, is for those who want to learn to run their first waterfall.  We take you through the tuck and the boof and introduce you to the beautiful blue waters of Valles.  A combat roll is basically all you need as most of the drops have a pool at the bottom.  This trip is great fun! Check out pictures and info: http://liquidadventureskayakschool.org/trips/multi-day/mexico/advanced-program/

Our Intermediate trip to Veracruz, Feb 7 - 14, is an amazing introduction to the famous whitewater in Veracruz.  This trip explores class II-III runs, samples Mexican cuisine, and allows escape from the DC winter! Check out itinerary and more info: http://liquidadventureskayakschool.org/trips/multi-day/mexico/advanced-beginners-low-intermediates-program/

Here is a great video of all our trips to fuel the stoke: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LEvS4gxBoHo

Cheers!  Ashley
