The deadline for students to apply for our free national summer programs in science and engineering - E2@MIT, MITES, and MOSTEC - is fast approaching!  Applications are due February 1, 2017 at 7:59 pm (EST).

 

Please spread the word! Forward this to any current high school juniors that you know who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents and who are interested in pursuing STEM careers! Don't miss the unique opportunity to apply to our renowned science and engineering programs! Almost 2,000 students have already applied, so submit your application today at summerapp.mit.edu. The deadline is February 1, 2017 (7:59 pm EST).

 

 

 

Who can apply?

If you are a high school junior as well as either a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, then you can apply! Students chosen to participate through the highly competitive selection process generally excel in math and science and have a strong academic record. Check out the Application Checklist and last year's application webinar to find out how to apply.

Program costs are generously covered by our funders. Admitted students pay only for transportation to and from MIT.

 

Our programs

By submitting an application by February 1, each student is automatically considered for admittance to either one of our three programs:

 

 

Engineering Experience at MIT (E2@MIT)

In this one-week summer program, students take an intensive,
project-based courses, receive college admissions and financial aid advice, and participate in lab tours and social events.

 

 

This six-week summer program immerses students in life at MIT through math and science courses, a challenging hands-on elective course, admissions counseling sessions, lab tours, and social events.

 

 

 

Students in this innovative online program discuss research, receive admissions and financial aid advice, and attend webinars. They also complete online science and engineering projects that they present during a five-day summer conference on MIT's campus.
