cheat_training_group Cheat Training Paused: weeks 3 & 4

Hi Cheat Friends,

As most of you know by now,  Cheat Fest and the Cheat Race has been canceled for this year.  All of the instructors here at Calleva have been paying close attention to recommendations from the CDC and the governor of MD, especially in their advice not to gather in groups of 10 or more, and keeping the elderly at home. We want to protect our clients, our staff, our families, and ourselves. We are heartbroken at having made this decision but we feel that the most responsible thing to do right now is to pause Cheat Training for the next two weeks. This will give us all time to focus on our families and staying healthy. We hope that schools will reopen in two weeks and we will have a better perspective on how hard coronavirus will hit our community. 

The Potomac River is a place of solace and comfort for me and each of us as paddlers and outdoor people. We know how important being connected to one another and to the river is to you. We want to encourage you to take time outside, staying in shape, maybe attaining in small groups or with just one other person. Please take good care of yourself during this time. Community is truly the most important thing for us at Calleva and so we are making this choice to protect our clients and staff. Feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. 

I plan to start a Cheat Training facebook page where we can stay in touch and log our own workouts, maybe give suggestions for books and exercises. I hope you will join me in this!

Of course, I will keep you posted about any changes to this plan or that affect Cheat Training.
