[WardFive] Re: [Brookland] Lunch at Menomale

Hello Jon,

I am not implying anything.  I am stating that there are some RACIST Whites right here in Brookland who are still protesting the Cafe.  Not being able to see the protestors for who they are after all that has happened over 3 years shows that by admitting that racism played a major part translates to personal guilt.  If you haven't got the message from all that I have written, then I can't open your eyes any more.

But if you need yet another eye opener, here is a

Jon - the first protest against the cafe was 3 years which included twice going to the District Court of Appeal.  The Second protest was for outdoor seating and expansion after 2.5 years of NO ISSUES or COMPLAINTS and only maybe 2 people living within 6 blocks had cars who protested parking.  Are all the rest of the neighbors adjacent to the cafe just too stupid that they couldn't speak up.  And the fact that one of the Protestors on the second protest lives 1 block from Manomale but didn't protest them but protested the Cafe on Parking.

Really Guy - Clue me in!!!  By the way, I got A's in Algebra and Geometry - so I understand y=mx+b and that opposite angles are congruent.  You do the math - maybe you can teach me something.

In fact, Menomale does have a voluntary agreement (a misnomer if ever I heard one) specifying that they will not sell alcohol between 2 and 5 PM.

Good Morning,

So nice to be able to get a Liquor Lic. and outside seating with no "rails" to protect the sidewalk, with zero parking, no "Voluntary" Agreement and still have such great "community support" from certain folks.  Almost like the America Vision of Romney/Ryan.

Wonder what that type of previlege acceptance would be like!  Glad this place came along at a time so that we can all see how Racist some Folks really are in our community.

Anyways, Our True "community" feeling aside, The owners are Great guys, nice place, good pizza and great environment. Nice to have them here. Maybe The Cafe will get the same "love" in about 400 years.

By the way, John Feeley's Cousin's Father/Mother in law (his next door neighbor) did stay at the the Inn to share in the Delivery of their daughter's Baby.  So - anything is possible - maybe it won't be 400 years after all!!!!

Where is it located?

In 12th Street, just south of Franklin. They've got outdoor seating out front as well, so do check it out. The food is excellent.
