Re: cheat_training_group Cold Weather Gear

The drytop seam tape just didn't hold up. The drysuit started delaminating with in 6 months. At first in only a few spots but within a year it was all over.

curious as to what failed with your two items listed?

The Kokatat is a very good breathable unit. The Peak creeker suit is different and works very well, Gavin Rains is the east coast distributor for Peak - he should be at Gauley. This creeker can be delivered for about &750.00/

Hey All,

Cold weather is approaching. As some of you may know I haven't had the best of luck with cold weather gear. My 4 season drytop as well as my plaid drysuit have failed miserably and it appears that repairing them is not going to happen.

So now I am forced to get new stuff and I could use your help with recommendations. NRS, Kokotat and Level 6 all have a wide variety of gear with equally wide price ranges. Ultimately, is there an alternative to a $1000 GMER  drysuit?
