Dear Langdon Community,

Please join us at 12:00 pm on  August 22, 2013 at Langdon Park for a ceremonial ground breaking to officially unveil the final concept design for the amphitheater renovations in honor of Chuck Brown. Our combined teams at the Department of General Services (DGS), the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Executive Office of the Mayor (EOM) value the community's input and appreciate the feedback we have received surrounding the proposed renovations. Based on the community's feedback, the original plans were scaled back to reflect a more passive renovation that both honors Chuck Brown's legacy and also meets the needs and desires of the community.

Attached  is Option #1, the concept design that has been chosen for the park.  The concepts will incorporate some of the community's request such as passive park, open space and a statue of Chuck Brown. Our outreach to the community in no way stops here, we will continue to work diligently with ANC Treadway and the community to ensure that the scheduled renovations and park improvements are elevating the quality of life for residents in the  District.

Please share information about the ceremonial groundbreaking with your friends, family and neighbors.  If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,

Jackie
