cheat_training_group Come on, baby, let's do the twist!

Almost any lesson on paddle strokes will include a discussion of torso rotation. Through rotation, we can create potential energy, extend our reach to create better leverage, maximize the force we are able to apply to propulsion...blah, blah, blah. It's all very scientific --- and all very hard to think about when trying to accelerate past a big hole or get that big sweep stroke to correct your angle in a boily patch.

Maybe what we need is a dance party! :-) The twist engages you from your shoulders to your toes. It's given me a whole new way to think about how I connect with paddle, boat and water. Stop by the back channel this evening on your way up to the chutes for some stroke tips and drills that will send your boat dancing across the water.

I plan to be on the water as close to 5PM as the traffic will allow and I'll hang out in the back channel until 6 or a little after. Drop in when you like, then head upstream to twist the night away...like you will all summer. ;-)

See ya out there...
JOHN
