Friends!

As many of you know, the historic new production of ROOTS will air on The History Channel from Memorial Day, May 30th through Thursday, June 2nd, at 9pm Eastern.

ROOTS stars Forest Whitaker, Laurence Fishburne, Anika Noni Rose, LeVar Burton, Malachi Kirby and more - including members of the original ROOTS cast. Our friend Joshua DuBois has  been honored to help shape this project for the last two years.

The new airing of ROOTS is a critical moment for our country to reflect on the sacrifices of individuals who were enslaved, the resiliency of our ancestors, and the meaning of our stories today.

If you can, please consider spreading the word about ROOTS. Here is a resource that can help - and please feel free to forward to others:

Thank you for spreading the word about ROOTS! Tune in on tonight.

Check out 'Reading for Roots' - and help transcribe slave documents to close critical gaps in our history.

"Just a Vessel" -- Read the new 'Kunta Kinte,' Malachi Kirby, describe to Christianity Today how his faith inspired his performance

Check out LeVar Burton discussing WHY A NEW ROOTS in the New York Times and The Hollywood Reporter

Finally, I thought you might enjoy a few photos from ROOTS below!
