Come Visit Deep Creek Cellars Located near Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland, the winery is north of Friendsville, off Interstate 68 (Exit 4). Turn left off ramp, following signs to MD Route 42; at Route 42, turn right. Go 6.5 miles. You'll see our red sign on the right at Frazee Ridge Road. Turn right. As you come up the hill from the highway, the winery is on the left, the only structure around! From the Baltimore area, take I-70 west from the Beltway to I-68 west near Hancock, Md., to the Friendsville exit (see above). The Baltimore Beltway is 2:45 from the winery. From the Washington, D.C. area, take I-270 west from the DC Beltway to I-70 west at Frederick, to I-68 west near Hancock, Md., to the Friendsville exit (see above). The DC Beltway is 2:40 from the winery. Please note: If you're coming from the east and you're visiting and staying at Deep Creek Lake, the winery exit is west of the US 219 interchange for Deep Creek. But from the lake, the easiest way to reach the winery is to take MD Route 42 just north of McHenry for 7 miles to Friendsville. You'll actually by-pass Friendsville on Route 42 and go under I-68, and when you do, it's 6.5 miles to the winery (see directions above). From Morgantown, W. Va. and points west, take the Friendsville exit of I-68 (see above). |
