Ops, forgive typo: the word is not "sppeds" as we all know.  It's "speeds".

Surely this decision is very costly, however, a good decision if it sppeds up dispatchment of repair crews. Thanks for the information and I agree that Pepco is trying hard to meet the demand. Its never too late to make a positive difference.

In response to concerns about Pepco's community emergency response plan, there seems to be a new addition to Pepco's Reliability Enhancement and Emergency Restoration Improvement Plans.  I crossed paths with a 2 man crew (truck 902) stationed in the field.  Was told since there is a high possibility of another storm and possible flooding, Pepco crews will be stationed throughout DC to respond when/where needed this evening.  These crews will be on 24 hr shifts until told otherwise.
