Re: [WardFive] Re: [ward5] Re: Announcement: DC Streetcar Public Meeting on November 27, 2012 at the DOES Building

Mr. Peloquin,

I remember someone exactly 1 year ago asking this question

"The cops should have responded promptly, no doubt, but the larger question looming here is what the hell is the matter with these kids and where are their parents?"

Spending this much money to "ride a trolley" and 6 years of flawed work in the school system with many schools having Worse Proficiency as of last #'s provided by DCPS is what's wrong with "these" kids and their parents and this will be the results of our next generation -- So I suggest that folks understand -- Kids who grow up with folks playing politics with their life and running these games -- will end up taking a few heads with them on their way to prison.

Imagine -- 6 years in with this "awesome" strategy since Rhee but yet we have a Chancellor still talking about kids in 9th Grade who can't read.  SOMEONE please tell me that in 6 years, we couldn't identify this simple issue with this child and I am absolutely sure that there are lots more "9" graders who can't read.   ERICH MARTEL won't have problems doing these numbers -- the child that Kaya referred to in her testimony (and so many kids in that situation) is the simple fixes that will never be explained and solved by school closings, spending 1.3 billion on building buildings or all the "programs" that they are putting into place.  In Sales -- K.I.S.S.  Keep It Simple ________ is a PROGRAM that will always work.

Maybe I am missing something of simplicity.  Well, SIMPLY PUT, "these" same kids will be robbing and doing other things to you in the near future.  I am thinking of coming up with a "Flag" that I can fly and I will pass this out so that kids know who tried to help and who are part of the problem.

Hello Everyone,

Tell me that they are smarter than a 5th grader -- Or were they just "smoking" before they wrote this.

"The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is hosting the final public meeting for the Benning Road Streetcar Line Extension Feasibility Study on Tuesday, November 27. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an update on study findings and solicit input from the community.

And this part sounded just like the DCPS strategy that was rolled through Ward 5 for imput

"The meeting will be structured to allow for 30 minutes of materials review and individual discussion with team members prior to a 30-minute presentation. A one-hour question and answer session will follow the conclusion of the presentation in an open house style and will offer an opportunity for participants to provide additional input at each station".

SERIOUSLY -- There will come a time that all these folks who are punishing our children, stealing their education and being greedy will get theirs -- some of these same children will be paying them a visit for food, clothing and whatever else they need to support them.

Experience is an amazing teacher -- and Karma always finds it's way home.

This is real short notice ...like tomorrow. This last minute invitation makes me believe it is all a charade and a farce. You can't really be interested in what the community thinks. Otherwise, community members would have been represented on the task force.

What I would like to know is has the City identified where it plans to get the 2.5 billion necessary for building the trolley? Otherwise, I do not think the City should be able to move forward.
